Stefan Raab's new TV show is causing quite a stir, even before it's aired. The reason for this is the dispute surrounding the "TV total" band Heavytones.

As reported by "Bild", the band members are said to have been offered a contract for the new show that is significantly lower than what they were paid for "TV total". The musicians are therefore said to be considering legal action.

Raab: "The band is not indispensable"

Raab himself has now commented on the situation in an interview with "Spiegel". He said that the band is "not indispensable" and that he could "also imagine the show without the Heavytones".

The band has not yet responded to Raab's statements.

Dispute could jeopardize the show

The dispute could jeopardize the new show. If the Heavytones do not participate, Raab would have to find a new band at short notice.

The show is scheduled to air in the fall of 2023.
