Exclusive: Aston Villa midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka named among future stars

FIFA and FIFPRO have released their World XI of players born in 2005 and three English youngsters have been selected as the nation continues to impress at youth level. Tottenham defender Alfie Devine, Aston Villa midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka and Brentford forward Aaron Pressley have all made the cut following standout seasons for their respective clubs.

Tottenham's Alfie Devine

Devine has been impressive at youth level for England and his club, scoring five goals in 10 Premier League 2 appearances this season. The 17-year-old midfielder has also made his debut for Spurs in the UEFA Europa Conference League and is considered one of the most promising young players in the country.

Aston Villa's Carney Chukwuemeka

Chukwuemeka has been one of the breakout stars of the season in the Premier League, making 14 appearances for Aston Villa. The 18-year-old midfielder has scored three goals and provided two assists so far this campaign and is attracting interest from some of the biggest clubs in Europe.

Brentford's Aaron Pressley

Pressley has been in fine form for Brentford, scoring 11 goals in 18 Premier League 2 appearances this season. The 17-year-old forward has also made his debut for the Bees in the Carabao Cup and is considered one of the most promising young talents in the country.

The inclusion of these three players in the World XI is a testament to the quality of young English players coming through the ranks.
